BAND: Did not bother with bands! Aged 9 he first saw his
uncle Barry singing in Smackee and immediately began studying
Accountancy ! He eventually became a fully qualified accountant.
After a short time in this profession he discovered that
working for a living didn't add up, so in 1984 he promptly
moved to London to seek his fortune in a more secure profession
- he became an ACTOR!
MUSICAL INFLUENCES: Trained as an actor at The Barbican,
London, studying Musical Theatre, and has appeared in many
of the major West End shows and Rep. Theatres. Toured Europe
as the Arbiter in CHESS and has been soloist with the Tribute
to Andrew Lloyd Webber Pr
oduction
all over the World. Michael had his own TV show on Sky's
The Children's Channel, is a classically trained pianist
and has had numerous appearances on Radio 2's Friday Night
is Music Night as guest vocalist...doesn't this guy make
you sick!
Joined
the band in 1994 and is a regular in THE MUSICALS where
his singing and dancing skills are brought to the fore.
Obviously his experience in the West End is a valuable asset,
and his knowledge of musical arranging is used to full effect.
HOBBIES:
Running, Golf. Runs on average 30 miles a week, and has
run the London Marathon in 2hrs 30mins. Has now taken up--
yes you guessed it - GOLF! Michael is a member at Trent
Park Golf Club in London and also Kirby Muxloe Golf Club,
Leicestershire. Has a handicap or 21 due to be revised downwards…..
